On February 28, 2011, the Sculptors Guild of New York opened a non-juried exhibition of new work.
This presentation offers professional and serious work of consistently high commitment and craftsmanship –which is to be expected of a professional organization active in New York City for nearly 75 years. Guild members have pursued their ideas in recent years with passion and devotion to their craft – a confirmation that professionalism is alive and well in the Art Community.
“New Work: 2011” is a survey of sculpture ‘at the moment’. Evident taxi stansted to london is how each artist, in their artistic practice is redefining the trajectories in digital, multimedia, installation, non-objective, figurative, abstract and new technology artwork.

The Sculptors Guild of New York was founded in 1937, and has a renowned and rich history of supporting visionary artists of divergent aesthetics. The Guild has a busy regional and international exhibition agenda. Recent Guild exhibition venues have included Governors Island for the past three years, and art fairs in Stockholm and Cologne. Over its long history the Guild has staged exhibitions at the Guggenheim Museum, the International Building at Rockefeller Plaza, Bryant Park and the New York Botanical Garden, in addition to traveling shows circulated by the Carnegie Corporation, the American Federation of the Arts and Hofstra University, to name a few.
