Zofia Turlik
Zofia Turlik – (alias)Zojka was born in Poland but for many years she lives and works in London. Her painting is a reflection of her soul, emotions, energy and moods.
Works of Zojka cannot be attributed to one trend. She says “I get tired from one style and really like to experiment”.
She is a multi-faceted artist who works in various media from oils to acrylic, from drawing to mixed media.
Zojka surprises us by the force of the expression in modern abstractions in contrary to realism, peace and harmony emanating from her portraits.
She has created her own individual three-dimensional style in abstractions. She applies a many coats of varied media. As a result of it the image have surface covered diverse texture, what adds to the picture an amazing effect of depth. The combination of such texture in fusion with wonderful colors, well thought out composition and the contrasts, creates an unforgettable feast for our eyes, soul and imagination.
Zojka ‘s portraits are magnificent, full of warmth, endearment, sensitivity and have an intimate atmosphere, which draw us into the image, suggesting a connection between the subject and the viewer.
Her aim is that the picture is not only just a true portrait but above all a painting worth looking at in terms of composition, color and atmosphere, irrespective of whom it shows.
