My inspiration comes from nature and organic forms and my paintings could be considered as abstract landscapes which sometimes have figurative elements such as trees. I tend to be moving towards more abstract subjects and pursuing painting, in addition to canvas, on non-traditional surfaces such as Corian, Plexiglass and metal, exploiting the aspects of transparency, translucency and opacity of the materials as well as the paint and their interplay between the layers. The cast shadows and diffused light between various layers then became an integral part of the paintings and give another dimension and depth to the works.
