Artist Statement:
Art works “Spirals, Rollers, Pegs” (# 0007) and “Space Rip” (# 0013) are made in combined technique: acrylic and spray on canvas. They were created simultaneously in the year 2004, and are of same dimensions.
The basic idea in both works was the same: to paint with shadows, and by this means to achieve simple visual communication with observer.
Black and white contrast was produced using matrices and classical painting with brush.
By this means I want to provoke observer”s curiosity. Layering of the work induces in observer associative analytical contemplation.
Art works have immediately inspired titles.
