Artist Statement:
The purpose with my portraits/ figurative work is to depict the Beauty that I see in my subjects and in the world. I am exploring and defining my version of Absolute Beauty. Does the human search for Beauty serve a useful purpose?( The Divine Proportion-HE Huntley)… I think this is the perfect question. Why do we as humans want it, yearn for it, create it? As Keats said “…beauty is truth, truth is beauty.” It is this depth of Beauty that I am expressing as I see it.
