Draailier uit Tolkamer

Working mainly with the driftwood that accidently crosses my way is a bit like beginning to read a book but starting in the middle. I have no clue what the story is about, yet I allow myself to give it my own twist. The material is very easy to attach things to, and for me every new project is a challenge to push the borders of my abilities. The linseed oil paint emphasises the liveliness of the driftwood and it feels like I’m working in nature. Working with these products of nature and fate surprises me each time again and again.

  1. it is a fine work, at one hand raw, at the other very thoughtfull. Good at its colors and in size ratio.
