Artist Statement:  

Elena presents figurative and abstract paintings, focused in a process of interior search, that wants to share with us, specially if we are willing to appreciate the colour and the company of a particular silence that is present in almost all of her paintings with a non estrident palette.
Some works evoke the intimate contact between the collored landscapes and the eye. Others with a significant sensibility unite abstraction and representation loaded with a symbolic weight.
Such is the case of the dancing forests. Where the trees intertwine in continuous motion in paintings structured like colourful islands. In her abstract paintings, the mixed techniques are the means chosen to make matter express inmaterial scenes. A true challenge, since the paintings, lacking an exterior object where to lean reflect the artists intention. 
The strong visual impacts of her paintings. The pithy yet never simply composition along with the subtle tons create elegant layers and mysterious energy.
