Artist Statement:

November is a merciful time for the painter. I can focus fully on my work, undisturbed by distractions.

I follow a needle-covered path deep into the forest. I have been too busy to think clearly. This is a quiet time of year, illuminated by mysterious goblin light. The enlightened forest has a blood-red glow.

The trees reveal their true character and I see the colours very distinctly on the verge of winter. I do not see the future or remember the past.
