Statement: When this painting was created, an allegory of my Mother came into my mind, the expression of the gift of life that she gave me came like a torrent into my soul and the result is a woman who in her last minutes of life upon this Earth since she passed when I was born, an unrequited love and a real gift was bestowed upon me, the gift of life, as she becomes a part of this fractal universe, she is indeed giving the ultimate gift of her life and therefore my birth, a memory which I hold very dear to me and it gives me impetus to honor her legacy, she has indeed become part of the greater universe and in turn opened a whole universe of possibilities if you see there is in the midst of all the darkness that envelops her the parts of her body breaking up yet in a moment the flow of her spirit becomes mine and the beauty that emanates from her is an exquisite form of love with the curves and the eyes of happiness and the sure knowledge that like a plant her gift will bear fruit. In honor of the gift and in the deep understanding that comes with such a momentous transformation the wax denotes the moment of birth and the red is the blood that after her departure flows incessantly through my veins.
