Pop-Up NY

1 July – 14 August 2010
Preview 22 July 6-8pm

Pop-Up NY has been EXTENDED to run alongside British show “We Love New York?”

Spontaneous and exciting, Pop-Up New York is a handful of the city’s young and emerging artists originally gathered to spring up next to Broadway Gallery’s London show Underground on BROADWAY.

Working in a range of mediums this group show is an array of visual reaction, with artists responding to their surrounding influences and situations. Reflective of New York, the show ran alongside Underground on BROADWAY to provide an energy filled visual dialogue with the London works. Now extended, Pop-Up NY will run alongside Broadway Gallery’s next British show We Love New York? to provide a similar cultural contrast. The original works will remain but we asked all our New York artists to recommend a friend or colleague to show next to them, in an intriguing and expansive extension of this show.

Come to the opening for an evening of talking and meeting new people, with both our young New York artists and the British team from “We Love New York?” in attendance.

Artists

Scott Bluedorn, Darlin Frometa, Young Heller, Julian Lorber, Jungyeon Roh, Tory Sica, Skummi, Cameron Snow
, Eunjeong Yoo, Rich Tu, Erin Riche, Max Carlos Martinez
