A Group Exhibition Featuring Jillian Corbett, Leif Mcilwaine, Natalie MacFarland, and Tin Stencil
The exhibition will be on display from February 1 – 15, 2009, with an Opening Reception on Thursday, February 5th, 2009 6pm-8pm

Jillian is an artist working primarily with hand-cut spray-paint stencils since 1999, though she has worked with the medium since 1985. Graduated with a BS in German from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2003. She is a self-taught artist who has a penchant for highlighting the overlooked.

Leif Mcilwaine Born in SLC Utah grew up using art as an escape from a mundane environment. Attracted to graffiti art form for it’s ability to transform bland monotonous space into beautiful scenery. Now living in NY to be closer to the source of the art form. Mcilwaine is the founder of Alphabeta, an organization that has quickly become a destination on the map for the NY graffiti scene.
Natalie MacFarland works are drawn from both urban and natural settings, distilling the images through the stencil making process.

Tin Stencil received her BA in Philosophy from Smith College and is pursuing her MA in International Affairs at the New School. She has studied art at the Corcoran School of Art, Penland School of Crafts, and Abbazia di Spineto in Sarteano, Italy. She has shown work in Washington D.C., Wisconsin, Oregon, Holland and Italy. She has been stenciling since 2001.
