The Broadway Gallery NYC is pleased to announce the group exhibition Play. The exhibition features work by six international artists exploring ludic expressions in both figuration and abstraction. Artists in Play do just that. Playing with compositional strategies, approaches to technique, and emanating a playful attitude, the works on view in Play are fun, experimental, and innovative.
Exploiting psychological tension between figuration and formal abstraction, these works transgress boundaries of the expected, laying bare their own process and revealing results that surprise and delight the senses. Exploiting the fundamental energy and dynamism of the creative act, these works satisfy our sense of curiosity and amusement.
